EmailIn late 2023 and early 2024, Aspen Digital put out a public call for submissions of excellent descriptions of artificial intelligence (AI) in reporting from 2023. From hundreds of excerpts representing over 80 different publications ranging from student papers to international mainstream press, we chose 15 winners.
Humana is the latest insurer to be sued over its use of artificial intelligence in claims processing, with a lawsuit alleging the payer used AI model nH Predict to improperly deny care to elderly Medicare Advantage patients.
What makes it great
In this excerpt, Vogel highlights the corporate user of the AI tool (“Humana”), specifies the tool being used (“nH Predict”), and explains what the tool is being used to do (“improperly deny care”).
